NIO House Beijing Huaxi Live

NIO House is NIO’s user center, integrating vehicle exhibition with community space: a clubhouse whose owners take part in the events and everyday life it hosts. Unlike earlier NIO Houses confined to interiors within existing malls, the Beijing Huaxi Live commission offered the opportunity to remodel an existing structure inside and out — an architectural approach spanning space planning, facade design, interior design, and furnishing.

A new facade of fluid, layered glass wraps the volume, its rounded corners dissolving the boundary between showroom, clubhouse, and street. Within, the sequence moves from the vehicle display up to the members’ lounges and event spaces — a calm, warm world of timber, soft light, and precisely detailed furnishing that stages the brand’s community life.

Carried from initial concept through design development, the project reorganizes the building around the rhythms of its community.
