AGORA is a full-service architecture and interior design studio based in New York. Founded by Minquan Wang in 2024, it aims to build the public realm at the intersection of technology and culture, explore the social value of architecture, and facilitate connections between communities.
Minquan serves as an architect at Kohn Pedersen Fox in New York. He previously practiced at Rockwell Group in New York and at David Chipperfield Architects in Shanghai. Minquan has an extensive experience navigating complex urban commercial and civic projects. At KPF, he was the lead designer for MixC Chongqing Mall reconstruction and major contributors to numerous large scale mixed-use developments including the International Land-Sea Center in Chongqing, Thamrin Nine in Jakarta, and Baker Circle in Hong Kong. At David Chipperfield Architects, he was a leading figure in the Shanghai office's design-focused projects as well as its cultural and academic engagements. He led the design of internationally noted competitions including the Jinqiao Art Center and the Minsheng Wharf masterplan, served as project architect for RAM Assembles 2023, and was the design lead for NIO House at Beijing Huaxi Live.
Minquan's independent work has been recognized internationally: the winning proposal for the West Zhejiang Agro-Tech Industry Park received the A' Design Award Gold Prize (2025) among numerous other honors, and his proposal for the China Academy of Art Mengyuan Campus was similarly premiated. His projects have been exhibited in New York, Venice, London, and Como.
Minquan taught the Option Studio at Tongji University in Shanghai and is co-author of Folding Jingdezhen. He received his M.Arch from the Yale School of Architecture, where he was awarded the H.I. Feldman Prize, and his B.Arch and M.Arch from Tsinghua University.
